Afi is a leading Spanish company in independent advice, consultancy and training in economics, finance and technology. The company was founded in 1987 by a group of prominent academics and, since then, has become a benchmark in the provision of services and products for the financial sector. Our team consists of more than 250 highly qualified professionals, including more than twenty partners.

Our Story
1987
December 3rd
International Financial Analysts S.A. is established as a 100% company of the Gesmosa group, owned by several dozen savings banks, with a share capital of 30,000 pesetas. Afi began its activity providing analysis and advisory services in the economy and markets on Caracas Street 13 in Madrid, its first headquarters. The founding team consisted of Emilio Ontiveros, Ángel Bergés and Francisco J. Valero.
Junio
As a result of the integration of Gesmosa and Gesinca, two companies that provide investment services in markets and are owned by savings banks, the new Ahorro Corporación group was created. All Ahorro Corporación analysis services are integrated into Afi, which becomes a company wholly owned by Ahorro Corporación.
1992
January 24
Incorporation of professional partners into Afi's share capital for the first time: after acquiring 50% of the company from Ahorro Corporación. Emilio Ontiveros, Ángel Bergés, Francisco J. Valero, Daniel Manzano, Ignacio Ezquiaga and Miguel Morán form the first group of professional partners to join the company, and Emilio Ontiveros was appointed CEO of the company.
1993
December 17
Afi acquires the building located at Calle Españoleto 19, Madrid, where it was installed and located its new headquarters the following year. He worked there for the next 22 years.
1994
June 13th
Afi sets up its subsidiary Afi Escuela S.A. for
