Teleworking as an opportunity for rural areas of Castilla y León
In a context marked by depopulation and territorial imbalance, teleworking is consolidated as a strategic opportunity to promote the establishment of new professional profiles in rural areas. This report analyzes, from a multidimensional perspective, The role that teleworking can play in the territorial development of Castilla y León. To this end, we study recent trends in teleworking in Spain, their impact on migrations to rural areas, and the role of coworking spaces as key infrastructures to channel this transformation. Through statistical data, surveys, qualitative work and a review of international experiences, the report provides a detailed diagnosis and a proposal for lines of action focused on strengthening the COWOCYL network and teleworking as a rural backbone in the region.
