Socio-economic impact and industrial investment of the soft drink sector in Spain

We have made for the Refreshing Drinks Association ANFABRA a report on the socio-economic impact and industrial investment of the soft drink sector in Spain. It highlights the relevance of the industry in the Spanish economy and its impact on other strategic sectors.

Here are some of the extracted data:

· The soft drink sector provides 11.6 billion euros to the national economy and more than 200,000 jobs in Spain.

· Sales remain stable, with a turnover of around 4,790 million euros in the last year (+2.9%) thanks to the variety of the category and the good results of hospitality and tourism.

· The sector has 148 activity centers spread across all the autonomous communities, a 15% in rural areas.

· The municipalities in which the sector operates and where there is a greater social consumption of soft drinks have better employment indicators, population growth, household income and a greater hospitality and sociocultural supply.
